Anatomy of a Charter Trip

The Charter Plan/Bid, if accepted as submitted to, or as amended by, Network Rail forms the basis of the timing schedule issued to the driver. It is presented on the next page very much as Network Rail would receive it and as the driver will see it.

It contains a wealth of 'custom & practice' abbreviations with which rail employees are very familiar but with which you may be less, or not, familiar although they may become self-evident when read. The meaning of these abbreviations is set out below for your reference.

On the plan/bid page, hovering the cursor over such unrecognised terms will usually bring up a quick reference panel as a reminder.
